Take a walk!
At Sodexo, we actively encourage activities that help to improve health and fitness.
Walking is a great activity - just half an hour of walking each day can boost your fitness levels, combat stress levels, and improve your concentration levels within the workplace. Despite this, statistics show that most of us do not walk enough to benefit our health. For example, not many of us involve walking in the daily commute - overall, only 11% of commuters walk to work - car travel being the most common form of transport.
Two national walking organisations are teaming up to encourage people across the UK to take to the streets. For more information inspiration and advice, please visit the links to the two organisations and information:
Events in October
October is International Walk to School Month and over 40 countries will be encouraging children to ditch the school run! We're here to help anyone who wants to start walking to school - whether that's all the way, parking up and walking the last 10 minutes, or just jumping off the bus two stops early. It all counts!

Events in December
Festive walks are the perfect way to get out into the fresh air in-between the excesses of the festive season, to meet new people and enjoy stretching your legs. Walks range from family-friendly 4-mile mince pie strolls, to 14-mile hikes in the hills. Find out more at www.ramblers.org.uk/winterwalks.
