Corporate Matters

We are involved in a number of working parties with government organisations such as the Food Standards Agency, to ensure that we are abreast of any government legislation or changes and that our views are taken into account during any government consultation. We are also signed up to their 'Foodservice Commitments' undertaking and currently taking part in calorie count trials at four of our locations.

We actively consult with Defra, and are consulted by them. We sit on the advisory panel for school meals issues – Dept of Education and maintain links with LACA, the local authorities caterers association. We are a member of the Business Services Association.

We support the government's 'Healthy Weight, Healthy Lives' strategy.

All our education contracts operate in accordance with the standards laid down by the government's School Food Trust.
